Tethered shooting with Capture One PRO

Shoot tethered directly into the computer and save time!

Using a FireWire or a USB cable you can shoot tethered into Capture One with Phase One digital backs and a broad range of Canon EOS digital cameras.

One of the great benefits of tethered shooting is the very fast transfer of the RAW files from your camera and directly into the computer. You do not have to worry about importing from memory cards or runing out of storage space.

High resolution images appears instantly on a color calibrated screen allowing you to soft-proof you images immediately. In seconds you can verify the composition, light, sharpness, focal point, exposure etc. and do the appropriate adjustments in the moment of capture in stead of having to adjust in post capture where it is less likely that you get it right. Tethered shooting means less retakes and less post processing time in front of the computer.

If your client is with you during the shoot, you will soon realize the powerful impact tethered capture have on the client. The feeling of being part of the shoot makes the interaction between you, the client and in some cases the model much more intens and the result is better images.

Capture One PRO includes many tools that was designed for tethered capture, such as the composition mode, overlay, alignment grids and exposure warning.

Composition Mode only saves the last capture you took, which means that you can capture until you are satisfied with the set up, then switch off composition mode and your files will now be saved. This saves you time deleting files later on and the files do not take up storage space.

Alignment grids will help you set up the shoot (currently only available on Mac). The overlay features will enable you to import a layout file and place it on top of your image to makes sure that you composition is right for e.g. a magazine cover (currently only available on Mac).
