I have been very impressed with young, up and coming people like New York fashion photographer Jaime DeMarco and his evolution and expression of self through creative fashion photography. Read the full interview and see some of Jaime's work here. I will be featuring many of these photographers whose work I find very exciting in future issues of PHASEplus. | | | | | The culture of openness The process of opening formats and technology in the photo community is best approached when working from a position of strength. Our confidence in Phase One hardware and Capture One software has allowed us to cooperate with both Adobe and Apple in the development of native support for Phase One raw file formats. The addition of the DNG format to Capture One is another example of our committment to the cultivation of a culture of openness within our community.
The role of medium format systems within a digital workflow in professional photography is clear. Many DSLR images captured today just look wrong. They require the capabilities of a medium format or technical camera. For detailed medium format solutions that overcome the limitations of the DSLR please see "Beyond the DSLR". This is an important time to for us to work together - openly - to create a photographic community that works better, and smarter! |
