Summary How to uninstall Capture One 6 and 7 on Mac OSX 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion and 10.9 Mavericks
Problem By default the User Library folder is hidden in the Mac OS. In order to completely uninstall Capture One 6.x you will need to follow one additional step listed in the directions below.
    Solution

    1. Deactivate Capture One so that the activation will be free to use on another computer or on the same computer with new hardware. This can be done by navigating to Capture One>License...>Click Deactivate.

    2. Quit Capture One (if running)

    3. Drag the application to the trash: HD>Applications>Capture One

    4. Delete the "Col" file located here: Mac HD>User>Pictures>Capture one Library>Capture One.col (capture One.col50 with version 6 and/or Capture One.cosessiondb for Capture One 7)

How to find the Library folder in 2 ways:

5a. Go to the User Library folder from Finder by selecting: Go>Go to Folder...
You can then enter the folder destination "~/Library"

5b. Or you can go to the drop down "Go" in the finder menu next to the Apple. Select the Go drop down and press the "alt" key when the drop down is scrolled down - now an extra line "Library" will appear - access this and you will be directed to the hidden Library folder. See screendump below.

    6. Delete the Preference files located here:
    User>Library>Preferences>com.phaseone.captureone.plist and/or .captureone7.plist

    User>Library>Preferences>com.phaseone.captureone.LSSharedFileList and/or com.phaseone.captureone7.LSSharedFileList

10.9 NOTE: Mavericks: uninstall step for Capture One 7 prefs:
On MacOS 10.9 there is a daemon running in the background that maintains a cache of all these plist files called “cfprefsd”. Deleting a plist file (as with 10.7 and 10.8) doesn’t work in 10.9 because this service will restore it from cache when the file is needed next time. Do NOT delete the file from finder, instead run these commands in the terminal and hit return (note case sensitive).

    (Main plist):

    defaults delete com.phaseone.captureone7

(Then delete the session history preference in the same manner:)

    defaults delete com.phaseone.captureone7.LSSharedFileList

Capture One must be closed when you do this and you must wait several seconds for the command to take effect.

    7. Delete the Application Support folders... If you plan to reinstall Capture One only delete the Batch Queue folder within the Capture One directory (below). If you do not plan to reinstall Capture One delete the Entire Capture One directory.

    User/Library/Application Support/Capture One/ (Batch Queue)
