  • The IQ2 Iceland Challenge

We challenged landscape photographer Joe Cornish to push the capabilities of the new IQ260 digital back. He chose Iceland for his destination. Iceland offers amazing light and stunning high contrast landscapes, but its scenery is as unforgiving as it is beautiful.

"It (Iceland) offers an unbelievable challenge to the photographer. It has snow fields, ice caps, extraordinary geology and the most dramatic coastline you will see anywhere and very very high contrast … This country is a great opportunity to test the IQ260"

  • Connect with your images - wirelessly

Watch how the Phase One IQ2 camera system and Capture Pilot reconnects landscape photographer Joe Cornish with his traditional working methods as a large format photographer.

"Shooting with Capture Pilot wirelessly especially with a small iPad, I can suddenly imagine using this technology on long hikes, even on mountaineering hikes."

"One of the exciting things about that is that as an old-fashioned large format photographer, I can also view the image upside down. This allows me to appreciate whether it's well-composed or not in a way that I prefer.", says Joe Cornish.

  • Introducing the IQ2 digital back in Iceland with landscape photographer Joe Cornish

Follow landscape photographer, Joe Cornish, as he visits Iceland to give the new Phase One IQ260 digital back a test drive.

"This country is a great opportunity to test the qualities of the IQ260. This has a 13 f-stop of dynamic range and that is the best there's ever been. It's very high resolution. For a landscape photographer where fine detail, subtlety, and tonal quality is essential, this could be a really exciting development", says Joe Cornish.
