Under/Over exposed images on a Phase One Camerabody
Problem
Images are underexposed even though aperture and shutterspeed are set to an expected normal exposed image. Or a Lightmeter informs that the flash supplies the proper setting for an expected normal exposed image. It happens only when shutterspeed are approx 1/4 sec or slower. The images below shows the same image taken at the same exposure settings (1/4s at f22) with different shutter curtain priority settings. Histogram of the image taken at 1/4 second, f22 with shutter curtain priority set to 1st Histogram of the image taken at 1/4 second, f22 with shutter curtain priority set to 2nd
Solution
Check the Custom Functions in the Phase One camera. On the selector wheel on top of the camera select CF - go to bank C-27 and check if 1st (0) or 2nd (1) shutter curtain priority is selected . In most cases when shutterspeed is set to 1/4 or slower - the 2nd shutter curtain priority is recommend...

Hasselblad H4X Compatability with Phase One Backs
Problem
Hasselblad announced the new Hasselblad H4X as a replacement for the growing base of tired H1/H2 cameras, but will this new camera work with my Phase One P series, P+ series or IQ series back?
Solution
Hasselblad has not offered any guarantee that the H4X will work well with the Phase One IQ or P+ digital backs, and it is therefore difficult for Phase One to recommend this as a viable solution. We have already made several discoveries regarding compatibility concerns between the H4X and Phase On...

Lens losing focus when body and lens mounted vertically in reprostand or tripod
Problem
Using the lens and camera on a reprostand or mounted vertically - the lens is sometimes loose or goes of out of focus. It seems like the gearing inside the lens is too loose. This happens mainly when the lens is in manual mode. Using the lens horizontally works perferct in manual or auto-focus mode. Focus stays in the same place. Because of the lens design the gearing and thereby Auto Focus is super fast. Keep in mind the number of lens elements and mechanics that is needed on a medium format lens design with a Leaf shutter. However using a tighter gearing with more resistance would cause this fast AF operation to be slower. Note that a workaround is described below this illustration.....
Solution
It is possible to "lock" focus simply by accessing the Custom Functions - named CF. Use the following CF menu: CF-10 - set to 2. Then the release button will only release. CF-12 - set to 1. Now the AFL button will handle the AF operation. The camera must be set in AF-mode on the lens and the AF...

Oversaturated colors in web contact sheet
Problem
I get over saturated images with too much red when using the "Make Web Contact Sheet" function in Capture One. I use sRGB on a calibrated Wide Gamut monitor. Could the display ICC profile be the problem? Or could the issue be that Internet Explorer is not supporting Color Managed sRGB profiles using a wide gamut monitor?
Solution
The display profile is not at fault here. The ICC profile for the display tells any application, that uses color management, what the color values for the display should be. A non-color managed application (such as Internet Explorer for Windows) would not use the profile and thus the colors would be...
