Color Fringing in Capture One 4
Problem
Some clarification about fringing. Color/Purple finging is a form of chromatic aberration caused by the failure of a lens system to focus all colors at the same point. The amount of chromatic aberration depends on the dispersion of the glass. Chromatic Aberration is visible as color fringing around areas of high contrast, such as edges, and occurs around the edges of the image frame in wide angle shots, especially when the light comes from behind them.
Solution
In Capture One fringing is possible to fix using a simple tool for analysis and handling. Simply check the Purple Fringing box. In the Lens Correction tool area, click on the letter “A” in the menu bar to apply automatic correction for both Purple Fringing and Chromatic Aberration. Blue/magent...

The images below shows the same image taken at the same exposure settings (1/4s at f22) with different shutter curtain priority settings. Histogram of the image taken at 1/4 second, f22 with shutter curtain priority set to 1st Histogram of the image taken at 1/4 second, f22 with shutter curtain priority set to 2nd
Solution
Check the Custom Functions in the Phase One camera. On the selector wheel on top of the camera select CF - go to bank C-27 and check if 1st (0) or 2nd (1) shutter curtain priority is selected .
