    This can be an easy process using a true gray card or selecting a neutral gray area within an image to adjust the white balance. The Automatic adjust button can be used too.
    Once set in this manner, further manual adjustments can be made if needed.

  • 1. Select a Thumbnail image of a true gray card or Macbeth chart. Or use a neutral gray area within an image.

  • 2. Select the White Balance Tool

    and choose the eyedropper / picker tool .

  • 3. Select by clicking on area in the image displayed in the preview window.

    Tip
    For selection from within the image: While moving the eyedropper around the image, the left window will show you the Current position and the window on the right will show the If selected the display will show what it will look like if the current position is used.



  • 4. The selected image will now be white balanced. This setting can now be applied to other images of a Session or set as Capture white balance to arriving images when shooting tethered to a computer.

    Tip
    Capture One allows the saving of a specific White Balance setting to be used again for future Sessions.

    1. Adjust the white balance settings to your liking.

    2. Click the Save White Balance icon This brings up the Save As as a dialog box as shown here:

    3. Enter a name for your white balance settings and click the Save icon.

    4. Now your white balance can be applied to other images by clicking the Load White Balance icon and selecting it from the saved settings:
