Could someone in the know please tell me more about how the HDR function works on a single file with high dynamic range in the new version of Capture One 3.4? I'm been hoping for something like this. thanks, Eleanorhttp://www.eleanorbrown.comHi,I'm not sure I understand your question.I'm not aware of an HDR tool in C1.Technicaly HDR application (ie. photomatix) can generate and HDR file using 3 pictures of the exact same scene (1 proper ex, 1 under ex, 1 over ex)In C1, you could use 1 picture properly exposed and generate a 16bits TIFF file then with the same RAW file generat...

I am interested in using my P45 on an Alpa, but believe there are certain 'wake up' issues needing a special cable release - like the one made by Kapture Group.I heard that Alpa/Phase is developing another special release or some such - any word on this, or is it an ill founded rumour?Peegee,ALPA now have a new hand grip wake up cable system which is much, much better than the KG cable system. I have been using (with my P25) the KG cable with my ALPA SWA but replaced it with the new ALPA hand grip system because of all the dodgy problems I was having with the KG cables. You can...

As I stated, I reprocessed the Raw file into 16 bit mode so I could compare the 8 bit to 16 bit conversion with a true 16 bit file. In this particular case I found the \"16 bit all the way\" file superior. >>OK, I have re-read your initial post, and unfortunately I missed that point on first reading. My apologies.>>I have nev...

Hi using c1pro 3.7.4 and cs.when adjusting levels in raw to optimize b&w point, these values seem to be lost when processed image levels is checked in CS, leaves gap on histogram at either end and stretches hitogram out, defeating object of good raw histograms?jIs this a cs preference to maintain the values through in to photoshop.Any body had similar experience or do you have an idea why?thanks in advanceI have noticed lately that levels are not preserved in Photoshop. I tend to shoot fairly high-key images, but to hold detail in the highlights, I turn on the \"Custom Targ...

CO \"remembers\" the cropping, exposure, and other settings I have selected for my images between sessions. Where are the data stored?-- mike elliottThey are stored in the Preview folder (see the Preview Cache tab in C1's Preferences) as one setting file per image with filenames ending \".work\" on Mac version and \".c1w\" on PC version. Thanks, Dominic! So if I delete these files, CO will not recall the last development settings I used on the image files?-- mike elliottCorrect. Hey,Yesterday, I created a set of levels in combination with a curve setting that I liked for creating B&W's from color image. However, now when I try loading that saved setting, the setting is greyed out and it does not allow me access to that saved setting list. Anyone know if there is either a glitch with the sw, or if I am doing something wrong. Note: I am attempting to apply the setting to Nef files only and not Jpg's!-AngelAngel,This works fine in 3.7.5 on my system.May be a permissions issue depending on Where you saved. These files get saved in default location of:~...

But you are lucky to have access to an old generation Mac...CheersDoes anyone kknow if this problem is isolated to the P30 ?Does this affec...

I have exposed and downloaded 3 flash cards onto my newly updated Capture One software, and the naming has gone something like this: \"XYZ_001; XYZ_001.1; XYZ_001.2\" for 1st, 2nd and 3rd card respectively.Apart from the fact that this in itself is annoying, the worst thing about it is that the first frame is the first shot in the first series, followed by the first frame of the second series, the first frame of the 3rd series, then followed by the 2nd frame of the first series etc.In other words, not only do I end up with funny names and numbers, but they are also in a completely illogic...
