I've been looking at Capture One's profile architecture trying to get a better understanding of how it works. It seems simple enough, assign a camera profile on the white balance screen that generally matches your camera/lighting condition. Then assign a destination profile, which would typically be an RGB working space profile such as Adobe 1998. Finally, make sure an accurate monitor profile is selected and what you see on screen should be a match to the actual sceen (within the limits of the process of course). There is something with the way C1 is doing things that doesn't make sense t...

If I set the colour to sRGB in web or output destination then the resultant jpegs or Tiffs look washed out. If I then import these jpegs (or tiffs) into Photoshop and assign them the Adobe RGB profile they look like they should (nice and vibrant) If I then convert them to sRGB in photoshop they stay looking great in viewers with no colour management. What am I doing wrong? It's like they are still in Adobe RGB with the wrong profile attached. If I set the colour to Adobe RGB then the resultant jegs look fine (when viewed with something that will read the profile information)Any help greatly ...

Aw fudge. Last weekend I sent a series of test prints to several photofinishers. The image files were created in CO from one RAW .CRW file. I output the file with several proof profiles and the plan was to compare the prints with what I see on my profiled monitor, to get a good idea about how close a matching I can expect, and what changes to profiles do.I took care to not change any settings in CO for this RAW file after I created the proof files so that I could bring it back up the way I had it set when I created the image files. So Mr. Mailman is now delivering the prints, and I have di...

HI Folks, I did a search and could not find the issue I have been experiencing. In Cap 1 Pro after I rotate a nikon D80 nef to portrait and then process to either jpg or tiff the top of the shot is cut off. I'm not doing a crop, just a simple rotate and process. The size numbers are set correctly. This only happens with rotates, all other processed files are great.Any help would be greatly appreciated.RobGRobG,Are you using any program at all before moving files into a Capture One Session? Are you using the 90CCW + 90CW buttons or the Arbitrary Rotation tool? Are you using the pro...

I have exposed and downloaded 3 flash cards onto my newly updated Capture One software, and the naming has gone something like this: \"XYZ_001; XYZ_001.1; XYZ_001.2\" for 1st, 2nd and 3rd card respectively.Apart from the fact that this in itself is annoying, the worst thing about it is that the first frame is the first shot in the first series, followed by the first frame of the second series, the first frame of the 3rd series, then followed by the 2nd frame of the first series etc.In other words, not only do I end up with funny names and numbers, but they are also in a completely illogic...

I am a new user of C1 so apologise if this is a stupid question. Normally I do not retrieve images from the CF card. My method is to jump the images from the card into a folder on my notebook and sort through to end up with keeps only. I then want to import them in C1 to process. Now I cannot find any way of geting the images into C1. the help file only refers to importing from CF cards or from a tethered camera and neither is applicable. If someone could tell me how to import from a file on my desktop I would be very grateful. In this case it's not a import you want to do...

I would like to decrease the size of overlayed images (ie. logos), but it seems that the 25% slider is as small as it goes. Even if I resize the image in CS2, it is the same size when overlayed, just at lower resolution. Any suggestions? Thanks.OS X, C1 3.7.5Hello25% is as small is it goes.If it is a logo you want really small I suggest you make a transparent image, put the logo in one if the corners of this transparent image and then import it in to overlay utility.

Hello,I'm very close to making my move to digital from film. However, I have not yet made my final decision to get a medium format digital back, or 35mm DSLR. I currently own a Hasselblad H1 which I has been very useful for me. Due to cost, I am considering the entry level Phase One P20+, or P21+ to get started. I have one question though. Is Phase One going to continue to manufacture digital backs for the H1 and H2 camera's? I would like to start using Phase One backs, but only if I can upgrade in the future to your newer and better backs. I am concerned about the future of my H1 given H...
