I created a support case for this but thought maybe some users could shed some light on these issues as well....We were previously shooting with a G4 Powerbook and just recently upgraded to a 17 inch MBP with 2 GIGs of ram. The good news is the processing speed is dramatically improved. The bad news is previews in capture one are way off compared to the processed file. Way way oversaturated. I realize it is just a preview and it isnt going to be 100% on with the processed file but these previews are way too saturated. I tried going into the terminal and deleting colorsync preferences and ...

I've been happily using C1 for sometime now, but I've been putting off the development of a proper searchable image archive with keyworded images, etc.I've been investigating the various options, and have read the iView MediaPro & Capture One workflow overview, as well as Peter Krogh's DAM Book. From everything I've read it seems very difficult to incorporate Capture One into a proper archiving/cataloging workflow. For example, in the recommended iView workflow you do not assign any metadata (caption, keyword, location, etc) until the end of the workflow. If I understand this correctly...

I currently use iView Media Pro to archive my images, and occasionally I will need to access a single or older image to process it. My questions are related to making this process easier.1) Once I have a single image unarchived, can I open it independently in C1, without creating multiple extra folders? (capture, process, thumbnails etc)2) Is there an easy way to save color, and exposure settings as a sep file to be filed with the job somehow, as to be recalled whenever an image needs processing in the future? Thanks in advance.pkHi there,a session in C1Pro consist of a few di...

This has probaly been up a dossen times already, but Ive just recently bought a lightphase back BB030xxx, so it should be identical to a H5 right? But as far as connection it to my laptop I am still not sure about just buying a Belkin FireWire Notebook Adapter to get the 6 pin firewire input. Will this card provide power to the back? Or how do I fix this?Best regardsRasmusPCMCIA Firewire cards do not provide power out. You will need a Phase One portable solution, which both provides power as well as power conditioning to your back. Or get yourself a laptop that has a built in f...

Any idea what happened?:Some days ago we took several shooting sessions with tethered 5D and C1 Pro in different folders and then moved them to dvd:s so that there were 2-3 folders in each dvd. After that I noticed that one of the folders contains all unreadable files.First I though that it was just some dvd directory writing error, but then found that all the .cr2 files exists there, they are in about right size, can be copied or moved to another location... but can't be read by C1 or Photoshop. My assistant said that she she checked those files in C1 during shooting session and there wer...

I have a problem that RAW files are not being recognised as such by Capture One LE. The files were shot by another photographer (v sadly no longer with us) & I have the task of processing & retouching the files. I started by looking at the files with CaptureOne DB (a trial version) & all worked fine . The RAW files were seen & I was able to make settings, apply them & process the files to TIFF.Now, having purchased an LE licence, the files show in the thumbnail part of the window tagged as RAW - but when I click on one to show it in the main window, it suddenly changes...

I'm assuming the \"DSL Noise Reduction\" is the problem but...I have a \"test image\" of a friend of mine - an older pock marked face that needs to be shaved with strong pores. It turns out to be an excellent image for comparing image detail. What I found is that if I convert it with Adobe Camera Raw I get the maximum amount of detail (and it looks very natural), next is Fuji EX software (less detail, but also less natural), then C1 (very natural, less detail), then Bibble (by far the worst). Note that ACR beating Fuji EX is contrary to what I've read - EX is supposed to be the best by far...

I downloaded C1LE and activated the software (latest version 3.7.4). Clean install, nothing else running on my system at the time. A exceed the installation req's (on WinXP)I launched LE and browsed to my CF card. A number of RAW shot with my Canon 300D on it.Man, sloooooowwwww. Doesn't even finish loading the 20 or so RAW previews before I get ghost windows, NOT RESPONDING etc. I shut all other programs down (just browser windows) and wait, wait, wait and nothing. I then loaded just one RAW image into a new folder and tried to load that. Still terribly slow. Once it loads when I click on...
