Schedule
To say that a PODAS workshop is eventful is an understatement. We aim to get as much access to photographic locations and classroom time as possible. We typically start before sunrise and end well after sunset. Fitting classroom workshops in around lunch. Sleep is always optional. Attendees typically travel by van (sometimes plane, helicopter or boat) with an instructor to the selected location. Once we arrive, there is a brief description of what we’ll be shooting and from there the necessary lenses are provided. Some days may require that we venture out all day, while others will include some shuffling back and forth to the hotel for meals and classroom seminars. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are always available in a manner you’d expect from a five star workshop but the emphasis is on catching the light.
Instructors
When it comes to first-class image quality Phase One is a proven expert, and when it comes to first-class instructors, we’re proud to say that we work with quite a few. PODAS instructors are both accomplished, professional photographers themselves as well as experienced instructors. The instructors chosen for each workshops are not only experts in the photographic opportunities of the location, but also experts in their specific photographic field. Be it landscape, aerial, wildlife, fashion or travel photography, our instructors are sure to go beyond your expectations.
Workshop fee
The exact cost for each workshop, it’s requirements and what it includes is available on the individual workshop page. PODAS workshops are all inclusive. Transportation during the event, lodging, meals, and the use of a Phase One camera system are always included. In addition a Capture One Pro software license, F-Stop camera bag and two 30x40 inch prints from the event, are all yours to keep and included in the workshop cost.
What will I need to bring?
A laptop that meets the system requirements for Capture One is a must, as well as a sturdy tripod. We also recommend that you bring CF cards, a backup drive and of course the proper attire for the location. Aside from the hardware, just bring your appetite for adventure and love of photography.
