Better Moments and Phase One have joined forces to provide the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line equipment, while photographing breathtaking scenery around the globe. The workshops are lead by world-known photographers and our own experienced instructors who will help you to refine your personal style and sharpen your technical skills.

EXPLORER workshops visit some of the world’s most inspiring and jaw-dropping locations that will let you return home with fascinating images. Be left speechless by majestic fjords and rugged cliffs, watch icebergs float in glacial lagoons, or witness the mystical and mesmerizing Aurora Borealis dance across the sky – there is a workshop for everyone!

What will you learn?

The goal of EXPLORER is to provide you with the finest photographic education while maximizing time in the field. You will get insight from Better Moments Experts and Phase One instructors, returning home with a deep understanding of Medium Format photography and all the Phase One camera system can offer. Every EXPLORER workshop also includes an introduction to Capture One Pro software and digital workflow, so every skill-level is welcome.

Workshop Information

Each attendee receives a Phase One Camera System to use during the workshop

• A complete range of Schneider Kreuznach lenses will be available to suit any photographic situation

• A Capture One Pro software License

• World class instructors, bringing a wide range of experience to each workshop

• Transportation to and from the destination airport as well as during the workshop

• Tutorials and seminars covering a range of topics from workflow, techniques, best-practices and more

• All meals and lodging

• One 30″x40″ prints of your choosing from the workshop

  • Schedule

    Our EXPLORER workshops are a mixture of on-location photography and time spend in classroom where we will analyze photos taken and work on your software skills, while our experts share their professional knowledge and stories. Typically, our days are long and the nights short as we are always trying to catch the best light, the perfect sunrise or the stunning Northern Lights.

  • Instructors

    We are proud to work with internationally-acclaimed photographers who are also experienced instructors. Every workshop leader is not only familiar with the location and its specific characteristics, but is also an expert in his field; be it landscape, wildlife, or travel.

  • Workshop fee

    The exact cost for each workshop, its requirements and what it includes is available on the individual workshop page. However, all EXPLORER workshops include:

    • Premiere XF Camera

    • One-to-one Master Class with a Phase One expert

    • Capture One Software training and support

    • Follow-up training and support from Phase One

  • What will I need to bring?

    A laptop that meets the system requirements for Capture One is a must, as well as a sturdy tripod.  We also recommend that you bring storage cards, a backup drive and of course the proper attire for the location. Check the workshop page or the catalogue for a detailed equipment list.

  • How to sign up

    Registration for EXPLORER workshops is done on a first-come, first-served basis and can be completed on the reservation page on bettermoments.com. Each workshop is limited to a participant level befitting the location and offerings of the workshop.. A deposit will reserve a place for your desired workshop. Final payment is due no later than 150 days prior to departure. Workshop fees are quoted in Euro and can be paid either by bank transfer or credit card.
    Better Moments is a member of Travel Guarantee Fund. This is your assurance that traveling with us is a financially safe experience.
