Could not activate because the activation profile is incorrect.

When activating Capture One the following error presents itself.


Most likely this is because you already have another profile that you have used to activate Capture One with in the past. Currently our activation system requires that each Capture One key is associated with one email address.



Often users will misspell their email when activating the first time, then rather than correct it they follow the prompts to create a new profile.


Incorrect user profile e-mail or password
Also during activation, disable your Firewall, Anti Virus Software, and the Pop-Up Blocker, a s these three things could interfere with the activation procedure and you will receive the error message - Incorrect user profile email or password

Here is what to do if you cannot find your user profile.
A. If you only have the license code and not the associated user profile please Contact Support.

B. If you only have the email address and not the password, you can get the password by going to and clicking on "My Pages".

Enter your Email Address and hit "Forgot Password?".

A notification appears telling you an email has been sent so you can reset your password.
