Dorthe Rennes – The Senior Sales Operations Coordinator who keeps it all moving

In this edition of Beyond the Frame we highlight Dorthe Rennes, our dedicated Senior Sales Operations Coordinator. With an impressive 25 years at Phase One, Dorthe plays a key role in ensuring smooth order processing and collaboration across teams. Discover more about Dorthe’s journey, her role, and what keeps her motivated. 

A journey of dedication and passion

Dorthe Rennes has been an integral part of Phase One for over 25 years, a rare milestone that reflects her dedication and passion for the company. “To be in the same company for so many years is very special for me in many ways,” Dorthe says. “Throughout the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with passionate people, which brings energy and inspiration to my daily work.” 

Dorthe’s role in the Order Desk team involves overseeing the flow of orders, providing essential support, managing purchasing tasks, and maintaining master data in the ERP system. “The combination of routine work and unpredictable tasks keeps things exciting and allows me to stay adaptable while expanding my knowledge.”  

Teamwork and communication: The key to success

Collaboration is at the heart of Dorthe’s work. The Order Desk team acts as the bridge between Sales, Logistics, and Production to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. 

“Communication is our key tool for success. From handling orders to ensuring shipping requirements are met, we manage every detail in between. We work closely with the global Sales Team to meet customer needs, even across different time zones. Constant communication with the Production Team in Japan helps us stay aligned on order changes before shipping.” 

Staying focused and organized

When it comes to managing workloads and meeting deadlines, Dorthe relies on structure and focus. 

“Knowing your priorities and sticking to them is crucial. Handling multiple tasks at the same time while staying calm under pressure is a must. Over the years, I’ve learned to balance internal and external pressures by staying organized and approaching tasks with a proactive mindset. I’m always looking for ways to enhance and optimize our processes.” 

A passion for sports and family

Outside of work, Dorthe’s competitive spirit shines through her love of sports. “I’ve been passionate about handball since I was 5 and played it for over 20 years. I love the teamwork, hard work, and sense of achievement that comes with sports.” While her focus has shifted to barbell training and progressive overload, her drive to set and pursue goals remains strong. 

When she’s not training, Dorthe enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. “They mean the world to me. I also enjoy relaxing with a crossword puzzle and a cup of coffee or beer in the sun.”
